They took another change in direction, deciding to record and produce the album in Nashville with award-winning producer Brendon O'Brien, who had previously worked with bands such as Pearl Jam and Rage Against the Machine. He had followed Anberlin since the beginning, having being introduced to them by his daughter.
The title was taken from one of Christian's favourite poems 'Poem on his birthday' by Dylan Thomas.
And once again, the album is a progression from its successor in the maturity level. The band say themselves it is a lot darker than previous work. Talking about the battles in life and love, loss and depression. Stephen Christian said " love is a friction, a chemistry... we need to fight it out in a good way, not with threats of leaving, but to, in love, find an understanding".
The album has been out less than a week in the US but has already sold over 40, 000 copies, reaching number 2 on the iTunes chart. A complete turnaround to the beginning of the band's life.
